Danylo Ignatenko

Danylo Ignatenko is a Ukrainian midfielder known for his physical presence and work in central areas. Born in Zaporizhzhya in 1997, he developed at Metalurh Zaporizhzhia and made his senior debut against Dynamo Kyiv in 2015. After joining Shakhtar Donetsk, Ignatenko gained top-flight experience through loans at Mariupol and SC Dnipro-1, while also spending time at Ferencvarosi TC. He helped Ferencvarosi TC win the Hungarian league title in 2019–20. In 2022, he moved to Bordeaux, where he played during the club’s relegation from Ligue 1. Ignatenko then joined Slovan Bratislava in 2024, adding a new chapter to his European career. He made his Ukraine debut against the Republic of Ireland in June 2022 and scored his first international goal against Armenia later that year. As a tall defensive or central midfielder, Danylo Ignatenko protects space, contests aerial balls and favors secure circulation.
