Donatien Gomis

Donatien Gomis is a Senegalese centre-back born in Dakar on 7 November 1994. He began his senior career with Chauray in 2015, taking his first steps in the lower levels of French football. Gomis then spent three seasons with Angoulême from 2017 to 2020 before briefly joining Les Herbiers in 2021. He moved to US Concarneau for the 2021–22 campaign, where regular appearances in the Championnat National helped him attract professional attention. On 21 June 2022, Gomis joined Guingamp and made the transition to Ligue 2. At 1.88 metres, he offers a strong physical presence in central defence, contributing in duels and aerial situations while helping organise the back line. Gomis remains linked with Guingamp, where his late rise has carried him from the amateur ranks into established professional football.
