Diego Santiago Fagundez Pepe

Diego Santiago Fagundez Pepe is an attacking midfielder born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1995. After moving to Massachusetts at age five, he developed in the New England Revolution’s academy, where he became its first Homegrown signing in late 2010. Fagundez made his professional debut in 2011, aged 16, and scored his first goal later in that match. In 2013, he recorded 13 goals and seven assists and was named the Revolution’s MVP. After a decade in New England, Fagundez joined Austin FC in 2021, scoring the first goal in the expansion club’s history. He moved to the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2023, taking on a more central creative role in midfield. With the Galaxy, he helped win the 2024 MLS Cup, the first league title of his career. Fagundez subsequently returned to the New England Revolution, linking his established experience with the club where his professional journey began.
