Daniel Ethan Edelman

Daniel Ethan Edelman is an American midfielder born in Warren Township, New Jersey, on April 28, 2003. He developed with Players Development Academy from 2015 to 2020, progressing from the second team to captain the club’s under-15, under-17 and under-19 sides. Edelman declined a scholarship to the University of North Carolina in 2020 to join the New York Red Bulls academy. He debuted for New York Red Bulls II in July 2020 and scored his first professional goal in his first start five days later. After signing a Homegrown contract in late 2021, he established himself in the Red Bulls’ MLS midfield and was named the club’s Newcomer of the Year in 2022. He captained the United States under-20 team at the CONCACAF Championship and 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Edelman later moved to St. Louis City.
