Dennis-Yerai Eckert Ayensa

Dennis-Yerai Eckert Ayensa is a German centre-forward born in Bonn on 9 January 1997. He developed at Pulheimer SC, 1. FC Köln and Alemannia Aachen before joining Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he played UEFA Youth League football and made his senior debut for the reserve side in 2015. In 2017, Eckert Ayensa moved to Celta Vigo and, while primarily playing for the B team, made his La Liga debut in 2018. A loan to Dutch club SBV Excelsior followed in 2019, including a winning goal against FC Emmen. He then returned to Germany with FC Ingolstadt, helping the club secure promotion to the 2. Bundesliga and scoring 25 goals across three seasons. In 2022, he joined Union Saint-Gilloise, winning the Belgian Cup and Super Cup in 2024. Eckert Ayensa moved to Standard Liège on loan in September 2024, and the transfer became permanent in March 2025.
