Danilho Raimundo Doekhi

Danilho Raimundo Doekhi is a Dutch defender from Rotterdam, born on June 30, 1998. He developed at XerxesDZB and Excelsior Rotterdam before joining Ajax. At Ajax, he did not establish himself in the first team but became an important player for Jong Ajax, helping the side win the Eerste Divisie in 2017–18. Doekhi moved to Vitesse in 2018, where four seasons and 115 league appearances gave him regular senior experience and eventually the captaincy. In July 2022, he transferred to Union Berlin and continued his development in the Bundesliga. Doekhi has generally operated as a centre-back, including on the right of a back three, using his 1.90-metre frame in defensive duels and aerial situations. His role has also included contributing at set pieces, where he can threaten in the air. He is currently listed with Lazio.
