Danijel Dejan Djuric
Danijel Dejan Djuric is an Icelandic forward who plays as a second striker. Born in Varna, Bulgaria, in 2003, he moved to Iceland at the age of two and began playing with Hvöt in Blönduós. After relocating to Kópavogur, Djuric joined Breiðablik, then moved to FC Midtjylland’s academy in Denmark in 2019. He returned home in July 2022 to begin his senior career with Víkingur Reykjavík, where he helped win the Icelandic Cup in 2022 and 2023 and the Besta deild in 2023. In February 2025, he joined Croatian club Istra 1961, gaining experience in the HNL. Djuric returned to Iceland in March 2026 to sign for KA Akureyri. He has represented Iceland from under-15 through under-21 level and made his senior debut against South Korea in November 2022.
