Dennis Cirkin

Dennis Cirkin is an English left-back, born in Dublin and raised in London. He developed in Tottenham Hotspur’s academy, progressing through the age groups and attracting first-team training opportunities. In August 2021, Cirkin moved to Sunderland for an undisclosed fee, beginning his senior career in League One. He helped Sunderland win promotion to the Championship through the 2022 play-offs, then contributed as the club reached the Championship play-offs the following season. Cirkin’s progress was interrupted by hamstring and wrist problems, which kept him out for substantial periods. He later joined QPR, while Sunderland and Tottenham remain important stages in a career built on left-sided defending, athletic recovery work and the flexibility to operate as a full-back or wing-back.
