Diego Facundo Castañeda
Diego Facundo Castañeda is an Argentine midfielder born in Buenos Aires on 19 May 1998. He developed in Argentina’s youth system, with reported time in Boca Juniors’ structure around 2014, before beginning his senior career with Deportivo Laferrere and San Miguel. Castañeda later played for Cañuelas and joined Sacachispas on loan, gaining experience in Argentina’s demanding lower divisions. He continued his domestic career at Villa Dálmine in 2023–24, then moved abroad to Montenegro with OFK Petrovac. At Petrovac, Castañeda produced his most prolific recorded season, scoring seven goals in 31 matches during 2024–25. He joined North Macedonian club Vardar Skopje on 1 July 2025 and has since featured in the club’s European campaign, offering midfield creativity and positional versatility.
