Daniel Johnson Burn

Daniel Johnson Burn is an English left-back from Blyth, born in 1992. Released by Newcastle United’s academy as a child, he developed in local non-league football with New Hartley, Blyth Town and Blyth Spartans before joining Darlington in 2009. His performances earned a move to Fulham in 2011, followed by loan spells at Yeovil Town and Birmingham City. At Yeovil, Burn scored in the 2013 League One play-off final as the club won promotion to the Championship, then made his Premier League debut for Fulham. After leaving Fulham in 2016, he joined Wigan Athletic, won their Player of the Year award and helped them claim the 2017–18 League One title. Brighton signed Burn in 2018, where he operated as a centre-back, left-back or wing-back. Burn returned to Newcastle in January 2022 and helped the club qualify for the Champions League before earning an England debut in 2025.
