David Buchta

David Buchta is a Czech midfielder who has built his senior career with Baník Ostrava. Born on 27 June 1999, he joined the club’s academy as a child and progressed through its youth system. Buchta made his senior league debut in March 2020, beginning a long-term rise into Baník’s first-team setup. Used mainly from wide areas, he has operated as a right winger or right midfielder while also contributing across the attacking line. His league output included six goals and four assists in 2020–21, six goals in 2021–22, and seven goals with three assists in 2023–24. By late 2024, Buchta had scored 25 goals for Baník in the Czech First League, placing him among the club’s leading scorers in the competition. More recently, he has also been used at right wing-back, reflecting his positional flexibility within Baník’s squad.
