Duane Bonnici

Duane Bonnici is a Maltese football midfielder born on 10 October 1995. He began his senior career with Naxxar Lions, where he played from 2013 to 2019 and developed as a left-sided attacker. Bonnici returned to Naxxar Lions on loan in 2022 before moving to Mosta in 2019, where he increasingly took on defensive responsibilities from the flank. He joined Marsaxlokk in August 2023 and featured primarily as a disciplined wide defender, while retaining the ability to support attacks with left-footed deliveries. Bonnici moved to Hibernians in July 2025 and was involved in their UEFA Conference League qualifying campaign, appearing as a substitute against Spartak Trnava. Across his career, he has shifted from an attacking wide role toward a more defensive one, with occasional use in midfield or a back three.
