Dennis Appiah

Dennis Appiah is a French defender born in Toulouse on 9 June 1992. He developed at JS Toulouse Pradettes and Toulouse Fontaines before joining Monaco’s academy in 2007, and he represented France from under-16 to under-20 level. Appiah signed his first professional contract with Monaco in 2010 and made his senior debut in 2011, later contributing to the club’s 2012–13 Ligue 2 title campaign. He moved to Caen in 2013, establishing himself in Ligue 1 and playing every minute of the opening 17 league matches in the 2015–16 season. In 2016, Appiah joined Anderlecht, making Champions League and Europa League appearances while winning the 2016–17 Belgian title and the following Super Cup. He returned to France with Nantes in 2019, helped win the 2021–22 Coupe de France, and subsequently joined Saint-Étienne in January 2023. Primarily a right-back, he has also covered at centre-back, reflecting his defensive versatility.
