Doğan Alemdar

Doğan Alemdar is a Turkish goalkeeper born in Kayseri on 29 October 2002. He developed at Kayserispor, progressing rapidly before becoming the club’s youngest captain at 17. In 2021, Alemdar moved to Rennes in France and rose from a reserve role into the senior squad. He later spent the 2023–24 season on loan at Troyes, making 35 appearances. His Rennes spell also involved competition with established goalkeepers, limiting his regular playing time. A left-knee ACL injury suffered during a Türkiye training camp in June 2024 interrupted his progress and ruled him out of Euro 2024. Doğan Alemdar has also been involved with Türkiye internationally. His current squad affiliations include Beşiktaş and Rennes II, while his 1.92-metre frame gives him a tall presence in goal.
