Oliva Christian Rutjens
Oliva Christian Rutjens, commonly known as Christian Rutjens, is a Spanish defender born in Marbella on 5 January 1998. He developed at InterSoccer Academy in Alalpardo and was selected for the Under-18 side of the Real Madrid Football Federation in 2014. In 2016, Rutjens moved to Benevento and made one Serie A appearance, debuting against Chievo in May 2018. He later continued his career in Italy with Cesena and Foggia, while also playing for Floriana, Hamrun Spartans and Europa FC. Rutjens joined Lincoln Red Imps in July 2025, adding experience in Gibraltar to his Italian and Maltese chapters. At 1.87 metres, Christian Rutjens brings a strong aerial presence to central defence and can also deputise at right-back; he scored a late winning header against Lech Poznań in the UEFA Conference League.
