Francisco Célio da Paz Silva Filho

Francisco Célio da Paz Silva Filho, known as Célio, is a Brazilian goalkeeper born in Frecheirinha, Ceará, on 25 January 1998. He developed in Brazil and was associated with Fortaleza’s squad as early as 2016. Célio later joined Caucaia EC in early 2022, continuing his progression before moving abroad. In August 2023, he began his Maltese spell with Santa Lucia FC. Hamrun Spartans signed him on 8 July 2024, bringing the goalkeeper into the club’s senior setup. Célio has since been involved in Hamrun’s 2025–26 UEFA Conference League campaign, with recorded matches against Žalgiris, FC Lausanne-Sport and FC Shakhtar Donetsk. At 1.87 metres, he now represents Hamrun Spartans as he continues his career in Malta.
