Carlos Henrique Casimiro

Casemiro, whose full name is Carlos Henrique Casimiro, is a Brazilian defensive midfielder born in São José dos Campos on 23 February 1992. He developed at São Paulo and began his senior career there in 2010, establishing himself through ball-winning and disciplined positioning. Real Madrid signed him in 2013, initially involving him with Castilla, before a 2014–15 loan at Porto sharpened his reading of the game. Returning to Madrid in 2015, Casemiro became the holding member of the celebrated midfield partnership with Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić. He was part of Real Madrid’s 2017 Champions League final victory over Juventus. In 2022, he moved to Manchester United, where he helped the club win the EFL Cup and FA Cup in successive seasons. Casemiro also became a cornerstone of Brazil’s national team and helped the Seleção win the 2019 Copa América.
