Carlos Álvarez Rivera

Carlos Álvarez Rivera is a Spanish right winger born on 6 August 2003 in Sanlúcar la Mayor. He developed in Sevilla’s academy after joining in 2011 and gained early recognition by winning the Golden Ball and Golden Boot at the 2015 La Liga Promises tournament. At 16, Álvarez moved quickly through the youth system to make his professional debut for Sevilla Atlético in Segunda División B. He scored on his first-team debut for Sevilla against Juventud de Torremolinos in the Copa del Rey in December 2022, then made his La Liga debut against Getafe in January 2023. In August 2023, he transferred to Levante for a more regular role. During the 2024–25 Segunda season, Álvarez recorded seven goals and 11 assists in 42 appearances as Levante won promotion. Deployed on the right or in an attacking midfield role, he creates chances in tight spaces and contributes through dribbling and incisive passing.
