Christos Zafeiris

Christos Zafeiris is a midfielder born in Athens on 23 February 2003, and he represents Greece internationally. He began at Panathinaikos before moving to Norway at nine, developing through Fornebu FK, Lillestrøm SK, Fjellhamar FK and Vålerenga. Zafeiris entered senior football with Grorud IL in Norway’s second tier in 2020, gaining experience before stepping up to FK Haugesund in 2022. In January 2023, he moved to Slavia Praha, where his energetic central-midfield performances helped the club win the Czech Cup in 2022/23 and the Czech First League in 2024/25. He later joined PAOK, returning to Greece and continuing his club career with the Thessaloniki side. Having represented Norway from under-15 to under-21 level, Zafeiris switched allegiance to Greece in August 2024 and made his senior debut in a 3–0 victory over Finland. He combines pressing and defensive work with ball progression, passing and forward runs, offering versatility in central midfield.
