Calvin Ronald Verdonk

Calvin Ronald Verdonk is a left-back who can also operate as a centre-back. Born in Dordrecht in 1997, he developed at Feyenoord, joining the academy in 2005. He signed his first professional contract in 2014 and made his Eredivisie debut against Excelsior in March 2015. Feyenoord loaned him to PEC Zwolle, NEC Nijmegen and FC Twente before he moved to FC Famalicão in 2020. He returned to NEC, where his second spell from 2021 became the most consistent phase of his club career. Verdonk made 165 appearances for NEC and helped them reach the 2024 KNVB Cup final. After representing the Netherlands from under-15 to under-21 level, he chose Indonesia and debuted in a World Cup qualifier in June 2024. He later joined Lille, bringing left-footed distribution and experience as both a full-back and left-sided defender to French football.
