Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly

Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly is a Senegalese midfielder born in Kolda on 4 March 1999. He developed at Génération Foot and began his professional career there before joining FC Metz in 2018. Sabaly gained senior experience during loan spells with Pau, helping the club earn promotion to Ligue 2, and later played for Quevilly. Returning to Metz, he became an important attacking player and scored 15 goals in the 2024–25 Ligue 2 campaign as the club secured promotion. Comfortable across midfield and the forward line, Sabaly has been used on either wing or behind a striker, while also tracking back to support his team. He made his Senegal debut against Rwanda in August 2023 and scored his first international goal against England in June 2025. In February 2026, Sabaly moved to Vancouver Whitecaps, beginning a new chapter in Major League Soccer.
