Connor Patrick Ronan

Connor Patrick Ronan is a midfielder born in Rochdale, England, who represents the Republic of Ireland internationally. He developed at Rochdale before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers’ academy in 2014, aged 16. Ronan made his professional debut for Wolves in December 2016 and later gained experience with Portsmouth, Walsall and Blackpool. He continued his development abroad with Dunajská Streda and Grasshopper Club Zürich, helping Grasshopper win the Swiss Challenge League and promotion in 2021. At St Mirren in 2021–22, Ronan scored eight goals in 25 appearances, earning an Ireland senior call-up in March 2022. He moved to Colorado Rapids in January 2023 and recorded eight assists during his first MLS season, while increasingly operating as a deeper midfielder. Ronan’s passing, set-piece delivery and chance creation have accompanied that positional evolution, and he is now listed with Aberdeen.
