Callum Joshua Ryan O'Dowda

Callum O'Dowda is a midfielder born in Oxford on 23 April 1995. He joined Oxford United's academy at nine and was recognised as the club's Young Player of the Year for 2012–13. O'Dowda made his professional debut on 6 August 2013, appearing in a League Cup tie against Charlton Athletic. Under Michael Appleton, he broke through during the 2014–15 season as an attacking midfielder and winger. In that role, he used his pace to drive at defenders, while his game later developed toward left-back and wing-back duties. That positional versatility has formed part of his senior career in European football. O'Dowda has represented the Republic of Ireland internationally. He is now registered with Ferencvarosi TC, linking his Oxford-developed career to Hungarian champions Ferencvaros.
