Casper Mørup Nielsen
Casper Mørup Nielsen is a Danish midfielder born in Esbjerg in 1994. He developed in Esbjerg’s youth system, signed his first professional contract there in 2009, and joined the senior squad in January 2013. Nielsen made his professional debut that May in a 2–0 win over FC Copenhagen. After four years with Esbjerg, he moved to Union Saint-Gilloise in 2019. At Union, he helped the club rise from Belgium’s second tier and challenge near the top of the Pro League. He represented Denmark at the 2016 Olympics and received his first senior call-up in 2022. His performances earned a move to Club Brugge in 2022, where he also featured in the UEFA Champions League. In July 2025, Casper Mørup Nielsen joined Standard Liège, continuing a Belgian career built on midfield versatility and experience.
