Cheikh Ahmet Tidiane Niasse
Cheikh Ahmet Tidiane Niasse is a Senegalese defensive midfielder born in Gossas on 19 January 2000. He developed in France, spending his formative years with US Boulogne-sur-Mer before joining Lille in 2016. Niasse progressed through Lille’s reserve setup and made his senior debut for the club in August 2019. A loan spell at Panathinaikos in 2021 gave him further first-team experience, and he later made five appearances for Lille during the 2021–22 season. In February 2022, Niasse moved to BSC Young Boys, where he established himself as a robust holding midfielder and featured in the UEFA Champions League. He helped the Swiss club win consecutive Super League titles in 2022–23 and 2023–24, as well as the Swiss Cup. Niasse subsequently joined Hellas Verona on loan, adding Serie A experience while also offering cover in central midfield and deeper defensive roles.
