Christopher Matthew Mueller

Christopher Matthew Mueller is a forward from Schaumburg, Illinois, who developed with Sockers FC Chicago before playing college soccer at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. At Wisconsin, Mueller became the program’s most decorated player, led the nation with 20 assists as a senior and won Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year honors. Orlando City SC selected him sixth overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft, and he made an immediate impact by scoring after 63 seconds against San Jose. In 2020, Mueller recorded career highs of 10 goals and seven assists as Orlando reached the postseason for the first time. He moved to Hibernian in 2022, scoring once in 11 league appearances before returning to MLS with Chicago Fire. Mueller also made his United States debut in December 2020, scoring twice and assisting in a 6–0 win over El Salvador. He now represents his hometown club, Chicago Fire.
