Chrislain Iris Aurel Matsima
Chrislain Iris Aurel Matsima is a French defender born in Nanterre on 15 May 2002. Standing 1.93 metres tall, he developed at AS Monaco after moving from the Paris region to the club’s academy in 2017. Matsima made his professional debut for Monaco on 27 September 2020, starting his senior career in Ligue 1. He later joined Lorient on loan in 2022, gaining further experience away from the Principality. In August 2024, he moved to FC Augsburg on loan, where his size, recovery pace and defensive reading strengthened the back line. Matsima has represented France across youth levels and was part of the squad that won an Olympic silver medal in Paris in 2024. Registered with FC Augsburg and Augsburg II, he is also listed with France U23 as his development continues in Germany.
