Carmel Mabanza
Carmel Mabanza is a right-footed defensive midfielder from Congo. Born on 18 February 2003, he developed in France with CA L’Haÿ-les-Roses from 2012 to 2017, then spent a season at US Créteil-Lusitanos. In 2018, Mabanza joined the LOSC Lille academy, where he gained UEFA Youth League experience during the 2019/20 and 2021/22 campaigns. He progressed to Lille B, playing in the French reserve system from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, he moved to FC Lorient and featured for the B team while also reaching the first-team bench in Ligue 1 matches. Seeking regular senior football, he joined GOAL FC, also known as Chasselay MDA, for the 2024/25 season. In July 2025, Mabanza transferred to Racing FC Union Luxembourg, where he entered UEFA Conference League qualifying. Across these steps, his development has combined central defensive duties with a midfield role.
