Clément Nicolas Laurent Lenglet

Clément Nicolas Laurent Lenglet is a French centre-back born in Beauvais on 17 June 1995. He developed with AS Montchevreuil and US Chantilly before joining Nancy’s academy in 2010. He made his professional debut for Nancy in the 2013–14 Ligue 2 season and became a regular the following campaign. Lenglet helped Nancy win promotion to Ligue 1 and the Ligue 2 title in 2015–16. Sevilla recruited him in January 2017, where his reading, aerial defending and distribution helped establish him in Spain. He moved to Barcelona in 2018, becoming a regular centre-back and winning La Liga in 2018–19 and the Copa del Rey in 2020–21. From 2022, Lenglet continued his career on loan at Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa, before joining Atlético de Madrid on loan in 2024 and adding experience to Diego Simeone’s defence.
