Cheick Keita

Cheick Keita is a French-born centre-back from Champigny-sur-Marne, born in 2003. He began his development at FC Saint-Leu 95 before moving to Saint-Brice FC and joining Reims in 2019. At Reims, Keita progressed with the reserve side and made his Ligue 1 debut in October 2022 during a win over Auxerre. He later moved to SC Bastia on loan for the 2023–24 season, making 27 Ligue 2 appearances and scoring his first professional goal. On 4 July 2024, he signed for Charleroi, where he continues to feature in central defence. Standing 1.85 metres tall, Keita contributes through aerial defending, positioning and secure short passing. He represented France at under-20 level, including the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, before receiving a senior Mali call-up in 2025.
