Christopher Ibayi
Christopher Ibayi is a French forward born in Porto-Vecchio on 18 July 1995. He developed at JS Bonifacio before joining the SC Bastia academy in 2010. After early senior spells with Bastia B, Tours B and Lucciana, he established himself in France’s lower divisions. Ibayi scored regularly for Granville, then represented Trélissac and Versailles, contributing to Versailles’ Coupe de France run. His breakthrough came at Rouen, where his prolific 2022–23 campaign brought 30 goals in 43 appearances. That form earned him a move to Ligue 2 club Ajaccio in 2024, where he continued to lead the line and score. Christopher Ibayi then joined Swiss side FC Thun in January 2025, adding a new chapter to his rise. He also made his international debut for Congo in March 2024, extending his progress beyond French club football.
