Conor John Gallagher

Conor John Gallagher is an English central midfielder born in Epsom on 6 February 2000. He joined Chelsea’s academy at six and developed there before beginning his senior career on loan at Charlton Athletic in 2019. Gallagher then moved to Swansea City and later spent the 2020–21 season with West Bromwich Albion, gaining Premier League experience. His 2021–22 loan at Crystal Palace brought eight goals, the club’s Player of the Season award and his first senior England cap. Returning to Chelsea, Gallagher became a regular in midfield and often captained the side during the 2023–24 campaign. He joined Atlético Madrid in August 2024, adapting to Diego Simeone’s high-intensity approach before returning to London with Tottenham. Gallagher combines pressing, ball-winning and energetic box-to-box running, while his progression through Chelsea’s academy and several loans shaped his versatility.
