Cody Mathès Gakpo
Cody Mathès Gakpo attacks space from the left, cuts inside onto his right and drives at defenders to threaten the channel. Gakpo rose from PSV to Liverpool, building a high-pace attacking profile. He keeps the ball under control. At Liverpool, Gakpo operates as an inside-forward, receiving diagonal switches, delivering whipped balls and linking play with one-touch layoffs. A turning point was the January 2023 Liverpool transfer, built on a World Cup Breakthrough in 2022. He presses high and creates separation by cutting across the box, pinning centre-backs and shooting when the moment opens. Gakpo finishes moves and gets shots off quickly while staying aggressive to create scoring chances.
