Chris Jan Führich

Chris Jan Führich is a German midfielder from Castrop-Rauxel who developed through the academies of Borussia Dortmund and later 1. FC Köln. He made his Bundesliga debut for Köln before returning to Borussia Dortmund, where he played for the reserve side in the lower divisions. Führich joined SC Paderborn 07 on loan for the 2020/21 season, recording 13 goals and seven assists in 34 matches in the 2. Bundesliga. His performances earned him a move to VfB Stuttgart in July 2021, where he grew into an important attacking player despite an early broken collarbone. Operating mainly from the left, Führich carries the ball inside, challenges defenders one on one and creates passing routes around the box. In October 2023 he made his Germany debut, was selected for Euro 2024, and helped Stuttgart qualify for the Champions League in 2023/24.
