Christian Früchtl
Christian Früchtl is a German goalkeeper born on 28 January 2000 in Bischofsmais. He began developing at SV Bischofsmais and SpVgg Grün-Weiss Deggendorf before joining the Bayern München academy in 2014. Früchtl advanced quickly, training with Bayern’s senior squad as a teenager and later becoming an important presence for Bayern München II. With the reserve side, he made more than 70 appearances and helped win the 3. Liga title in 2020. A season-long loan to 1. FC Nürnberg followed, although he did not make a first-team appearance there. In 2022, Früchtl moved to Austria Vienna, where regular football and UEFA Conference League experience accelerated his development. He transferred to US Lecce in 2024, taking his 1.93-metre frame, reflexes and left-footed distribution into Serie A after winning domestic and Champions League honours as part of Bayern’s squad.
