Cristian Sleiker Cásseres Yepes Jr.

Cristian Sleiker Cásseres Yepes Jr. is a Venezuelan central midfielder born in Caracas on 20 January 2000. He began his youth career as a striker at Atlético Venezuela before joining Deportivo La Guaira, where coaches converted him into midfield. Cásseres made his professional debut in Venezuela’s Primera División at 16 and represented Venezuela at youth level, including the 2017 South American Under-17 Championship. In early 2018, he moved to New York Red Bulls and developed with New York Red Bulls II before establishing himself in the first team. He was named the club’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, then scored the winning goal in the 2021 Hudson River Derby against New York City FC. Cásseres recorded six assists in his 2022 MLS season and was named Venezuelan Player of the Year. In July 2023, he joined Toulouse, continuing his career in Ligue 1 while also featuring for Venezuela.
