Carlos Jonas Alcaraz Duran

Carlos Jonas Alcaraz Duran is an Argentine central midfielder born in La Plata on 30 November 2002. He began playing at Deportes Infantiles de Villa Elisa before joining Racing Club’s academy in 2017. Alcaraz made his professional debut for Racing against Atlético Tucumán on 26 January 2020. In November 2022, he scored Racing’s extra-time winner against Boca Juniors in the Trofeo de Campeones final. He moved to Southampton in January 2023 and scored four goals in 18 appearances during his first half-season. In January 2024, Alcaraz joined Juventus on loan after Southampton’s relegation, adding experience in Serie A. He then moved to Flamengo in August 2024 before joining Everton on loan on 31 January 2025, scoring and assisting in his first start against Crystal Palace. His central role, energy and ability to contribute late runs give Everton an adaptable midfield option.
