Bernardo Maria Morais Cardoso Vital
Bernardo Maria Morais Cardoso Vital is a Portuguese defender from Cascais, born on 29 December 2000. He developed at G.D. Estoril Praia after joining the club’s academy at 14. Vital made his senior debut in September 2020 in Liga Portugal 2 against Académica de Coimbra and was part of Estoril’s promotion-winning squad that season. He reached the Primeira Liga in 2021–22, debuting in a 2–0 victory over Arouca. After leaving Estoril in 2024, he moved to Spain and represented Real Zaragoza in the Segunda División. Vital then joined Jagiellonia in July 2025, continuing his career abroad in Poland. Primarily a centre-back, he has also been used as a defensive midfielder and is described as a composed, ball-playing defender who contributes to build-up play and recovery work.
