Baltazar Costa Rodrigues de Oliveira

Baltazar Costa Rodrigues de Oliveira is a Brazilian midfielder born in Jaraguá on 6 May 2000. Known as Baltazar Costa, he developed at Vila Nova in Goiás, progressing through the club’s youth system from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, he made four senior appearances for Vila Nova before moving to Switzerland and joining FC Sion in July that year. He debuted for Sion against Lugano on 22 July 2018, while also gaining experience with Sion II in the Promotion League. Between 2018 and 2023, Baltazar Costa made 21 appearances and scored three goals for the reserve side. He established himself with Sion’s first team in 2020–21, recording 21 appearances and three goals. A versatile midfielder, he has also been used at left-back and as an attacking midfielder, and remained with Sion during their 2023–24 Challenge League campaign, which ended with promotion back to the top flight.
