Benjamin William White

Benjamin William White is an English right-back who can also operate at centre-back. Born in Poole in 1997, he developed at Southampton before joining Brighton in 2014 after being released by Southampton at 16. Brighton sent White on loan to Newport County, Peterborough United and Leeds United, giving him experience across England’s professional divisions. At Leeds, he played every minute of the 2019–20 Championship campaign as the club won promotion to the Premier League, while also earning the PFA Championship Player of the Month award for August 2019 and Leeds’ Young Player of the Season honour. Arsenal signed White in July 2021, initially using him centrally before he established himself at right-back. From that position, White supports build-up play, overlaps on the flank and can move inside to help midfield. He has represented England and was included in the squads for Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup.
