Bálint Máté Vécsei

Bálint Máté Vécsei is a Hungarian midfielder born in Miskolc. He began playing with Kazincbarcikai SC before joining Budapest Honvéd in 2008. Vécsei made his Hungarian top-flight debut for Honvéd in 2011, and his progress led to a 2015 move to Bologna. Loan spells at Lecce and FC Lugano broadened his experience, with Lugano providing a regular role in Switzerland. He returned to Hungary in 2020 to join Ferencváros, where he won four consecutive league titles from 2020 to 2023 and played in European competition. Vécsei made his Hungary debut in 2014 and scored against Bulgaria in a 2023 European Championship qualifier. After a short period with Vissel Kobe, he joined Paks in 2024, continuing his career in Hungary. With Paks, he helped win the 2025 Hungarian Cup, defeating former club Ferencváros in the final.
