Branco van den Boomen

Branco van den Boomen is a Dutch central midfielder born in Eindhoven in 1995. He developed in Ajax’s youth system and made his professional debut for Jong Ajax in the Eerste Divisie in 2013 before leaving for FC Eindhoven in 2014. He later played for SC Heerenveen, Willem II and De Graafschap, where his performances helped earn a move abroad. In 2020, van den Boomen joined Toulouse, becoming a deep-lying playmaker noted for progressive passing, long switches and set-piece delivery. He helped Toulouse win Ligue 2 and later contributed to their 2023 Coupe de France triumph. Van den Boomen returned to Ajax in 2023 and, after a difficult spell affected by injuries, joined Angers on loan in January 2026 to rebuild his match rhythm.
