In 2023 he moved to Sheffield United, debuting against Crystal Palace, before a 2024 loan spell at Nantes. Traoré joined Basel on a four-year deal in 2024 and then contributed 13 goals and 8 assists in the 2024–25 Swiss season, winning the league. Internationally, Traoré has been consistently called up for Côte d'Ivoire, featuring in AFCON qualification matches. As a forward, Traoré presses high, accelerates through space and finishes moves, keeping Basel's attacking action unpredictable.
