Brooks Thompson

Brooks Thompson is an American goalkeeper born in Jefferson, Indiana, on May 28, 2002. He moved to Florida in 2016 to join IMG Academy, beginning a development path that led into professional soccer. After playing for Derby City Rovers in 2017, Thompson joined the Sporting Kansas City Academy and debuted professionally for Swope Park Rangers in July 2019. He signed a Homegrown Player contract with Sporting Kansas City in January 2021. Thompson later continued his career with Philadelphia Union II before joining North Carolina FC on loan in 2023, starting 15 regular-season matches and two playoff games as the club won the USL League One title. In 2024, he became a primary starter for Spokane Velocity, who reached the USL League One Final. He subsequently joined Lexington in 2025 and is also listed with North Texas.
