Besard Šabović
Besard Šabović is a central midfielder born in Skopje, North Macedonia, on 5 January 1998, who developed in Sweden with IF Brommapojkarna. He joined Djurgårdens IF in 2015 and made his senior debut against Malmö FF the following year. Loan spells with Brommapojkarna and Dalkurd FF gave Šabović further first-team experience before he helped Djurgårdens win the 2019 Allsvenskan title. In 2021, he moved abroad to Kayserispor in Turkey and then FC Khimki in Russia, broadening his experience across different leagues. Šabović returned to Djurgårdens in 2022 and featured in their European campaigns, including all six group-stage matches in the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League. He joined Austin FC in January 2025, bringing experience from Sweden, Turkey and Russia to Major League Soccer. Primarily a No. 8, Šabović can also play as a deeper midfielder, progressing the ball with passing range while contributing defensive work.
