Benito Dirk Raman

Benito Dirk Raman is a Belgian forward born in Gent on 7 November 1994. He developed in the youth systems of Cercle Melle and SK Munkzwalm before joining Gent’s academy and progressing to the senior side. Raman later gained experience through loan spells with Beerschot, Kortrijk and Sint-Truiden, then moved permanently to Standard Liège in 2016. His career took him to Germany with Fortuna Düsseldorf, where he helped the club win promotion to the Bundesliga and scored 10 goals in the 2017–18 season. After another 10-goal league campaign in the top flight, Raman joined FC Schalke 04 in 2019. He returned to Belgium with Anderlecht in 2021 and subsequently continued his career with KV Mechelen. Known for explosive running, channel movement and energetic pressing, Raman has also represented Belgium, making his senior international debut in 2019.
