Abdoul Bamo Meité

Abdoul Bamo Meité is an Ivorian defensive midfielder born in Kani on 3 December 2001. After moving to Paris at age seven, he developed in French youth football with FC Bry, Le Perreux and US Créteil-Lusitanos. In 2019, he joined Laval after a trial and initially played with the club’s under-19 side. Laval later moved Meité into a deeper defensive role, and he made his senior debut on 1 September 2020 in the Championnat National. He joined Lorient’s reserve team in 2021 and signed his first professional contract in June 2022. Meité made his Ligue 1 debut against Monaco on 11 January 2023 before moving to Marseille later that year. During the 2023–24 season, he gained European experience with seven Europa League appearances and represented the Ivory Coast at under-23 level.
