Brandon Mechele

Brandon Mechele is a Belgian defender born in Bredene on 28 January 1993. He began playing at KSV Bredene before joining Club Brugge’s academy at the age of six, progressing through the club’s youth ranks. Mechele made his senior debut for Club Brugge in May 2013, appearing as a substitute against Lokeren, and featured against Standard Liège the following week. In the 2016–17 season, he moved to Sint-Truiden on loan, gaining regular first-team experience. After returning to Brugge, he established himself as a dependable central defender and a consistent presence in the team. His honours with Club Brugge include six Belgian Pro League titles, two Belgian Cups and five Belgian Super Cups. Mechele received his first Belgium call-up in 2018 and made his international debut against Kazakhstan in October 2019.
