Brice Maubleu

Brice Maubleu is a French goalkeeper born on 1 December 1989 in Saint-Martin-d’Hères. He developed at US Jarrie-Champ before joining Grenoble’s youth system in 2003. At 20, he made his senior debut for Grenoble against Lyon on 27 March 2010, stepping in because the club’s senior goalkeepers were unavailable. Following Grenoble’s financial collapse and relegation in 2011, Maubleu left to seek professional stability, later returning to the club in 2014. His homecoming began a defining decade in which he helped Grenoble recover from the lower divisions and re-establish itself in Ligue 2. Maubleu made more than 360 appearances for Grenoble and captained the club during successive promotions, developing from a promising goalkeeper into an influential leader. Standing 1.92 metres tall, he combines an imposing frame with reflex saves, penalty-stopping ability and dependable command of the area. In August 2024, he joined AS Saint-Étienne on a two-year deal, opening a new chapter after his long Grenoble service.
