Benjamin Leroy

Benjamin Leroy is a French goalkeeper born on 7 April 1989. He developed through AFC Ermont, Entente Sannois Saint-Gratien and AS Nancy Lorraine before entering the senior environment at Châteauroux. Leroy moved to Tours in 2009, made his senior debut against Sedan in May 2011, and became a regular during the following season. In July 2014, he joined Evian TG, where he took over as the starting goalkeeper during the 2014–15 Ligue 1 campaign and continued as first choice after the club’s relegation to Ligue 2. He transferred to Dijon in 2016 and was mainly a reserve before joining Ajaccio in 2018 and becoming an important figure in the side that won promotion to Ligue 1 in 2022. His Ajaccio performances brought Ligue 2 Team of the Year recognition in 2019–20 and 2021–22. After a spell with Quevilly-Rouen, Benjamin Leroy joined Lorient in July 2024, adding experienced goalkeeping depth to the squad.
